An update on the puppies, a pupdate if you will. They're pretty cute. one of Coleman, and if you can see it, what is probably too much snow on the roof, we got about 20 cm in the last two days, and there's a couple'a feet of it up there.

oh, almost forgot, puppy anybody?.....c'mon. you know you want one.

0 degrees today,

pretty warm for this time of year, wasn't so many posts ago a guy was complaining about -45. I don't expect it to hold though.
Well, my station is fully staffed for the first time in 6 years. although with that I also got another airport (Fort Liard) to staff with my own simpson crew.
Liard is a part time station, but it means that with 5 people I have to cover 421 manhours a payperiod, in two places 400 km apart.
But because of my organizational skills, and a really good crew, as of April I will no longer work nights and will be semi-retired putting in only 72 hours every two weeks as opposed to the 100 to 168 hours that I've been doing for the last six years-I feel like a weight has been lifted.
Coleman ate solid food today apparently, haven't got all the details yet.

-30, nice day to be outside.

Coleman, chilaxing in his sweats. Cheeto and her litter. Charlene wants to keep them all, she's naming them and cries when people say they want one.

Me and Beckers had to go out to the GBO today and swap out a missile guidance system, I mean swap out an innocent hard drive. The snow was deep. The orange thing is called "the hut"and houses a couple of computers and the satellite link-up. I think one of the pics is me climbing up the little tower with the GPS and the imager. Miranda's at a course tonight for work, but when she gets back I'll get a shot of Coleman's teeth.

Cheeto catches a big rat

Rebecca called me at work yesterday to tell me that Cheeto caught a really big mouse, after a bit of discussion about size and color, and what cheeto was doing with it(chewing on it) she decided it was a rat. I'm sitting at work thinking what the *&$% ? where, how could she, no, it can't be there ain't no flippin' rats up here, lots a' other creatures-no rats.
cheeto had her puppies, yup she gave birth to what beckers thought was a rat! we laughed.
I told Rebecca I'll never send her to the store for either rats or puppies, she can't tell the difference! Nine pups, one died, so eight left. I might keep one.
in other news suicide bombers in the gaza....sorry in other news Coleman has two teeth and weighs 19.4lbs!
some pics of pups and teeth tomorrow.

Are you comfy Cheeto?

-29 out there right now, but of course it's windy, so no net gain in overall comfort. Cheeto is preggers and taking full advantage of the situation. Beckers doesn't mind, but Miranda and I prefer if Cheeto stays in the porch. But to be fair, if you tell her to, she'll go and lay down in the porch...for about 10 minutes, then it's back to Rebecca's bed. Even uses the pillow...cheeky bugger.

not THAT cold out

Charlene and her auntie Harley play on Grandma's new Ski-doo, it's -35 outside, but these kids don't even notice. we hit -48 yesterday morning, so -35 is a major improvement and seems almost bearable. I'll be back in a bit. gotta chauffeur the kids around.
