charlie brown v5.0

Charlene turned five years old yesterday. she had a party and got a LOT of presents. I'll tell you though, seven little girls can sure make a racket.
Miranda never had much of that kind of thing(birthday parties and such) as a kid growing up in the bush, so she makes up for it by going all out for our kids. blogger is bluggering me so that's it for now. four tries for pics is my limit, maybe tomorrow.

last thing I saw was this hammer coming at me...

don't worry, I got out of the way in time, the hammer just missed me. just kidding, we had one last dresser to put together. IKEA ya gotta love it, however, oddly enough made in CHINA. I understand a lot of stuff being made there but come on, IKEA? internet is running dead slow, so no more pics tonight.

Charlene has started to warm up to her brother(finally) and will actually play with him now.

He likes to laugh, and even if he's crying, he'll laugh right in the middle of his tears.
He's 22 lbs as of yesterday.

dirt bikes...and dirt.

Coleman seems to love the bike(he's only sat on it in the shop) It works awesome, we took it out on the Wrigley road yesterday and we had a blast.

Our driveway was a little swampy so we got a load of pit-run in and started spreading it around.

You'll notice Charlie Brown sporting a shovel along with mom and dad.

This kind of thing is a family affair-much like when I was a kid.

First of course there's Canadian tire, secondly The fisin' hole and then third in the holy trinity...S.I.R mail order catalog. But wait...what's this Cabela's? what? After eight million years in the same family they sold to the sporting goods giant. It's a little sad, but me and Coleman the cool man will still enjoy the catalog.
Charlie brown and her Auntie Harley go for an imaginary spin around town.
And Sis, you can't see them but Charlie brown's mitts are laying on the ground just out of camera shot.(I was after her all day about her mitts)

I just couldn't wait

Well it was about plus 3 so... I teched the bike(no offense crappy tire) and decided that I'd give it a try. It fired up on the first kick and ran like a top. Should be even better on the dirt. If blogger will allow here's Charlie Brown in the snow.

back from YK

First, I gotta weigh in on the whole china thing-I mean these folks are making everything now.

I bought a dirt bike in Yellowknife. It was made in china. The company is American(Baja Motorsports of Tempe Ariz.) It was made in china and sold at Canadian tire.

It was a third of the cost of a Honda or Yamaha. I know what you're thinking(I thought this too)

That if I need warranty, or parts, or service advice...good luck calling The People's Republic of China. But all that stuff is handled on this side of the pond. Sooo, as long as I don't lick the lead paint it should be okay.
Miranda bought herself a rifle, a 30.06 with a pretty decent scope. This rifle is the number one choice of SWAT teams and nine out of ten dentists recommend it too.
Be afraid moose....be VERY afraid.
Oh yeah, and no guff, Charlene was walking at seven months. She could stand and hold herself up for about 20 seconds when she was three days old. Very strong legs. The nurses cleared her for air travel the day after she was born-that's unheard of.

Charlene holds the newest member of the family, Brownie, her pup. Sis, when the time came to give that one away...I couldn't do it. My last nightshift wasn't lonely as Charlene spent the night at the airport with me. I duct taped two of those conference room chairs together front to front and it makes a nice place to lay down(if you're three feet tall). Coleman is getting big, but he's not moving around much yet. Charlene could walk by the time she was seven months old, so admittedly, the bar is set a little high.
