my friend Matt Bromley died in the crash the other day. Matt's day actually started in my office that day(he flew the sched flight in to simpson the night before), and we were talking about all the accidents that have happened lately, the weather, the usual stuff. he was a good kid.

Tim:

I have left your blog site with my sister in law, Judy Miller. She has worked as a social worker in NWT. I just re checked her info on FB and she doesn't say where she was located...but she knows the areas where you are. Thinking it might be a small but sad world at the moment.

Here is what Judy replied after I inquired about where she was located, all this for you info...Perhaps you crossed paths?

"I lived in so many communties-my favorite, Baker Lake (2 years), then Iqaluit for 6 months before being transferred to Kugluktuk. From there to Yellowknife, a contract in Rae-Edzo and then my last year in NormanWells. While in Yellowknife I travelled back and forth to Fort Resolution a great deal and spent alot of time in the Hay River airport. Travelled on Buffalo Airways-the reason why I watch " Ice Pilots"!
I have also been to Wha'ti, Inuvik, Fort Smith, Fort Simpson, Arviat, Chesterfield Inlet, Rankin Inlet, Cambridge Bay, Fort Good Hope, Deline, Tulita, Colville Lake , Gjoa Haven and Whitehorse in the Yukon. All travel as a part of my job. Exciting and challenging at times but alot of air time (as most communities in the north are only accessible by air).!
One summer about 3 years ago I visited a friend in Whitehorse and we toured the Yukon - loved Dawson City!!! I want to go back and "do" the Dempster Highway but can't seem to find any takers.....
Oh dear I did ramble so.....I suspect my poor little heart is still in the North."
