Well, here's a couple of pics, Charlene and Coleman. Charlene and puppies. I will still be posting pics and family stuff on here. The other blog will be mostly stories about my life, both the boring and the exciting. I've been told around many campfires that I tell the best stories. So you are all welcome to come check out the mind of a fool. You'll have to pardon the mess though, as I'm just starting to tidy it up.

It got up to plus 9 here yesterday! It's only minus 3 out there right now. I can't ever remember it being this warm here this time of the year. Here's a funny pose from Charlene. just getting ready to go to work- I have 6 scheduled night shifts left and then that's it straight days baby!

There's also some interest in the upper echelons of the company in having me instruct the radio course in it's entirety, at the station here in Simpson. At some point I picked up the nick name-"The training Nazi" you throw one book, slam the desk once and use profanity, all of a sudden you're the training nazi (think soup nazi vis a vi Seinfeld) But I get results. I have a 100% success rate for on the job instruction and certification-so far. I have a good support team though in my buddy Steven of "burnt leg" fame. And Josh our Aviation programs officer. Anyhoo, off to work soon so...

To answer your question sis, I haven't decided if i'm going to keep a puppy. It's my go on that one because Miranda just brought Cheeto home one day while I was at work, yeah she pulled a fast eddie on me that time! so the deal is next pet I get to pick. Hmmm....didn't I used to have an alligator? It's a thought.
I have a couple of days off and if it's even remotely warm(-20 or so) I'm going to try and put up my weather station at home. Charlene is right beside me with a constant running narrative about kings and queens..right in my ear. bye for now.

Charlene gets a kick out of dressing up in my stuff. And she most definitely likes them puppies.

snowing for awhile now

An update on the puppies, a pupdate if you will. They're pretty cute. one of Coleman, and if you can see it, what is probably too much snow on the roof, we got about 20 cm in the last two days, and there's a couple'a feet of it up there.

oh, almost forgot, puppy anybody?.....c'mon. you know you want one.

0 degrees today,

pretty warm for this time of year, wasn't so many posts ago a guy was complaining about -45. I don't expect it to hold though.
Well, my station is fully staffed for the first time in 6 years. although with that I also got another airport (Fort Liard) to staff with my own simpson crew.
Liard is a part time station, but it means that with 5 people I have to cover 421 manhours a payperiod, in two places 400 km apart.
But because of my organizational skills, and a really good crew, as of April I will no longer work nights and will be semi-retired putting in only 72 hours every two weeks as opposed to the 100 to 168 hours that I've been doing for the last six years-I feel like a weight has been lifted.
Coleman ate solid food today apparently, haven't got all the details yet.
